Does capitalism have to reach its final stage to enable socialism and has it?
[Speaker 1]
So my question is to Mr. Kleiman. I have a kind of an off topic question, but in your understanding of Marxist ideas on how to reach the utopia or or the socialist idea, does it does it not follow that capitalism needs to reach its final stage, so to speak, and do you think it has?
[Speaker 2]
I don't think Marx was such a determinist. I think that we've reached a very high stage. There's been a lot of progress in some respects, a lot of regress. We're very technologically advanced. The objective conditions for a much better society are available. For instance, in Marx's day, you know, it may have been the case that prices provided information that you couldn't get any other way. You know, for an efficient society. Now we have computers, now we have apps. We're good to go.
